Happy Monday

Happy Monday everyone! All of last week, I’ve been busy trying to create a website. Let me tell you, it’s harder than it looks. All web hosts provide multiple generic templates, but if you want to create your own, you’re out of luck. I finally found a host that uses a drag and drop software and so I created my site from scratch. Check it out:

The release of Indecent Encounters is soon, although I don’t know the actual date. Is it acceptable to e-mail the publisher and inquire about the date? What do you think?
This week, I plan to actually get some writing done as well as plan my blog tour. Want me to chat at your blog? Let me know and I will (either for Indecent Encounters or Intimate Healing, which will come out late 2011.)

In other writing news, I entered a “Show and Tell Blogfest” contest where the winner gets a professional 10 page critique. Please read all the entries and vote. It’s a lot of fun, and so far I’m in second place (as I write this). Here is the link to all the entries and the voting poll: Show and Tell Blogfest

So now you all know what I’m up to this week. What are your plans?

  1. I didn't even attempt to make a website and instead hired someone to do it. It was well worth the price and now I love it.

    Good luck in your contest!

  2. Pretty website -- and a VERY enticing excerpt from your book on the front page. I don't think it's at all out of line for you to ask your publisher for a date - especially if you let them know that you'll use it for promoting purposes.

  3. I am constantly redesigning. I finally decided to transfer my website pages on to my blog and transfer my domain so I can keep everything together. Your site looks great and so does your blog. I agree with Nicki on the date. It's good to know for promotion, even if it's only narrowed down to a month.

I just visited your website. Very nice and lovely. And the excerpt is intriguing with a new twist.

Congratulations on the upcoming release. And all the best!

  5. The web site looks great. You did fantastic doing it all from scratch.

And yes, contact your editor. She can tell you when your book will release.

PS I just got back into my Goodreads account and read your letter. Thank you! You made my day.
